Asus starts rolling out the Android Oreo OTA update (WW_V80.20.179.40) for Zenfone 3 Zoom (ZE553KL) and as it is rolled out in phases it will take a week or more to complete. If you cannot wait for the OTA update, you can download and install the ZenFone 3 Zoom ZE553KL_ WW_V80.20.179.40 update manually.

If you haven’t received the OTA notification for the Oreo update, you can force the update by going to phone Settings > About > System updates > Check Update and download the OS manually. Your device should be on latest firmware version (WW_V71.60.139.30). However, we do not recommend this method for inexperienced users.
Manual Installation
Note: You should download correct firmware build for your SKU. Check the SKU via Settings > About > software information > Build number and see the software version for WW, CN, JP, etc.
- Download Zenfone 3 Zoom ZE553KL_ WW_V80.20.179.40 update file from here
- Transfer the firmware zip file to the root directory of your phone’s internal storage.
- Disconnect your phone from PC. You will see firmware update notification popped up on status bar.
- Select it and follow steps to update firmware. After completing the installation, your ZenFone 3 Zoom will reboot into the Android 8.0 Oreo. (Source)
